Living and working in Atlanta, we're fortunate to meet all sorts of amazing vendors through weddings as well as other projects and shoots. This year, we've had the pleasure of getting to know Ksenia Phillips of byKsenia, a graphic designer and artist, originally from Russia and now living less than five minutes from us. (Yes, she's the one who created all the beautiful paperwork for our most recent styled shoot!)
Every new piece of work I see from her truly amazes me! Perhaps it's because my drawing and painting skills never developed past fancy stick figures, but I'm pretty sure it's because she is really great at what she does. The way she understands color, design and has a place for each little brush stroke makes her work so rich. And so personal! How awesome would it be to have your wedding invitation set hand-painted? I imagine framing the original piece would be a really neat first work of art for your new home.
I've been thinking about all of this because we just finished up placing and photographing samples of some of her current work for her web site, so take a look around! There are some fun pieces for everyday enjoyment as well. (We just framed a copy of her Soilmate postcard to hang on our wall:)
Oh, and she even featured Bryan and I in her most recent artist feature (*blushing!).
And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention we've got a little something special up our sleeves--a secret project of sorts. But it's hush, hush for now, so we'll get back to bubbling and brewing with Ksenia. Can't wait for the big reveal!
Until then, I'll leave you looking forward to an autumn Auburn wedding preview on Monday!
xoxo-E
