beignets + a rainy day in new orleans

“Don't you just love those long rainy afternoons in New Orleans when an hour isn't just an hour - but a little piece of eternity dropped into your hands - and who knows what to do with it?” 

This question, posed by Blanche in Tenneessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, seems quite appropriate for our short but sweet trip to the Crescent City this week. In the midst of shooting, visiting friends and stormy weather in New Orleans, Bryan and I took a few shots with Fugifilm's x100s to offer a small visual explanation.

Wonderful time which ended way too quickly. But we soaked up and enjoyed each hour in New Orleans, and were transported for a moment just as Blanche suggests.
