Just as I was editing a preview for this precious family this morning, a recording of Bernstein's finale from Candide came on the radio, and the words couldn't have been more perfect for this awesome clan:
The sweetest flowers,
the fairest trees
Are grown in solid ground...
We'll build our house
And chop our wood
And make our garden grow.
