tuesday tip: wedding gifts

Although I doubt a couple has ever complained about getting gifts on their wedding day, it is common to overlook two factors concerning the gifts you'll receive on your wedding day:

  • creating a space for cards/gifts
  • finding someone who will agree to collect the gifts from the wedding venue and bring them to your new home
Both of these things make complete sense when you think about them, it's just thinking about them in advance (while you're also planning a million other things) that can cause these action items to fall by the wayside.

Regarding both of these items, keep in mind that although you'll most likely receive a large stack of cards, you'll also need room for the possibility of receiving large boxes as well. (Plus that Kitchen Aid mixer you've been dreaming about isn't light either!) Having a large table/space for gifts and someone with a larger vehicle standing by after you dart away to your honeymoon is key when it comes to taking care of the thoughtful gifts your guests will bring.

From our world to yours,

  1. Great tips. Couples really have to look into this detail. There will always be gifts, many gifts during a wedding and the couple should take this into consideration and think about where they would want to put the gifts so that everything will be in order at the wedding and after the wedding.
