katie + dylan married.

As we drove up to North Georgia for Katie and Dylan's wedding at The Lodge at Copperhead, we could just feel that it was going to be a great day. The sky was beaming blue, the fall sun was warming and Katie created a lot of time in the day's schedule for pictures. Katie is someone who could look radiant dropped into any decade--such a gorgeous vintage bride! And she had an excerpt from The Little Prince read during their ceremony (which makes her a-ok in my book).

One of my favorite parts of the day was Katie and Dylan's first look. There was great anticipation for both of them throughout the morning. Katie sat calmly, surrounded by her family and closest friends, getting her make up done in a little cabin. Dylan and his groomsmen watched football in a cabin across the way--with Dylan stepping aside here and there to review the vows he would soon be making. As we set up a quiet spot in the forest of the Appalachian Mountains for them to meet, I continue to find it such an honor to capture the surprise, excitement and pure emotion of the moment when I tell the groom to turn around and meet his beautiful bride.

I could go on and on about how awesome these two are, how brilliantly the fall sun set over the tree tops, and how everyone really got down to celebrating on the dance floor, but I'll let the pictures speak.

Katie and Dylan, thank you so much for the chance to capture your wedding day! We had such a blast getting to know you and your wonderful family and friends!
