"Hey Garrett Williams, I hear it's good luck to have rain on your wedding day. That's great, but I don't think we even need the luck :) whadya say I meet you at the altar around 5:00? I'll be the one in white.
Love you, my heart."
These sweet words were written by last weekend's bride on the morning of her wedding to her groom. As those of you in the South can recall, we've been getting quite a bit of rain around here...especially on the weekends. Fortunately for us, we've had some of the most amazing couples with the best spirits.
When I arrived in Auburn, Alabama this past weekend, Leigh greeted me with a huge hug. She told me how very happy she was to have us there. And as we talked about the impending weather report, she easily explained it didn't matter what the weather decided to do because she and Garrett were going to be married at the end of the day no matter what--and this was what was most important to her. That's when I knew our groom had himself a winner.
Today's wedding tip is inspired by Leigh. Instead of becoming gloomy or distressed, she got the cutest umbrellas she could find and decided, come what may, to have a wonderful wedding day.
If bad weather is threatening your day, make the most of it! Plan what you can and then...just get married!
From our world to yours,
xoxo-E
